Watching birds in KARWA PANI

Karwa Pani FRH is via the old Shimla Road bypass. It is near Bhuddi village.Following this path via paddyfields one will get to Manak Sidh Temple. The forest Road to Karwa Pani is just beyond this temple.

In  Karwa Pani the dense undergrowth and tall sal trees attract plenty of birds, 

may be large woodpecker including Himalayan Flame back, Streaked -throated Woodpecker , Grey-headed Woodpecker , Rufus  bellied Woodpecker and Fulvous -breasted  Woodpecker.

Also seen are Yellow – bellied fantail, Common  wood shrike, Black-hooded Oriole, Maroon Oriole, Chestnut-bellied Nuthatch, Velvet-fronted nuthatch, Bar-tailed Tree creeper,  Long-tailed Minivet, Small Minivet and White-crested Laughing thrush.
